Hello my Westchester Neighbors!

Are you one of those people who's always asking, "What day is it?" I get it.  You're busy.  Juggling home and work life is always a challenge. Whether you like to procrastinate (like my husband) or you genuinely lost track of time, no judgments here.  I have some fantastic last minute gift ideas for my fellow locals in love.  You can thank me later!

Have a great holiday,

SAME DAY ROSES DELIVERED VIA SHIPT.COM

SAME DAY ROSES OR LINGERIE DELIVERED

Amazon stopped overnight delivery days ago...So now what? Meet your new BFF, SHIPT!  Shipt is a local delivery service that is also a personal assistant all in one app.  You can use Shipt for one delivery at a time or purchase an annual membership.  The service is genius.  Log onto Shipt.com or download the Shipt app.  Create an account.  Next, choose the location you want to shop online.  If you are looking for same day delivery of flowers on a budget,  I suggest clicking on TARGET.  Yes, I said Target.  No joke.  Just go with it.  Target recently started carrying fresh flowers.  The roses are good quality red and lush bouquets by the dozen for $19.99 and wrapped up pretty with a bow.  You can add a vase, Godiva truffles and a scented candle.  Don't forget to text your Shipt shopper "this is a gift" and remind them that they need to remove all the labels and add on a heart themed shopping bag for delivery.  Target has numerous options for same day delivery so the whole store is your oyster. You can even deliver same day lingerie. Yes, Target has some upscale lace options depending on your style or needs. Just search the same day delivery options.  Anyone would be thrilled to receive a personalized delivery and no one needs to know it's from Target.  I won't tell, if you don't.

SAME DAY CHOCOLATES DELIVERED

Just like Santa goes with Christmas, Easter has the bunny, Valentine's Day is synonymous with chocolate.  No need to fight tradition.  My favorite overnight or same day delivery of quality chocolate is from EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS.  Yes, they can be delivered the same day or you can schedule a pick up at the closest location.  Just log onto www.ediblearrangements.com.  Plug in your zip code so you can order from the location closest to you.  I personally love their dark chocolate covered strawberries by the dozen but they have all kinds of chocolate / fruit variations and other desserts to choose from too. The Mt. Kisco location has never let me down.  Always fresh, sophisticated presentations and delivered on time.  A dozen chocolate covered berries starts at around $45.00 dollars and that includes delivery.  Win, win.

Apparently hurricane Hermine is headed towards the entire East Coast.  That could mean we need to prepare for a soggy Labor Day weekend.  No worries, THE WANNA team put together a list of things to do if you decide to abandon ship and stay in the city this holiday weekend!

Holiday weekends and brunch just go together.  The more carb filled the better right?  Blame it on the rain!  Best way to ease into the weekend is a flavorful booze filled brunch!  It's our picks for FOOD YOU WANNA EAT to kick off a successful city stay-cation!

The Wanna's fav brunch spots include:

Cafe MogodorWilliamsburg - A pioneer in the NYC restaurant world, this spot serves up amazing Moroccan bites and boasts great hipster-watching views.  The weekend brunch is a special price and includes an entree, coffee and juice.  We suggest the Moroccan Eggs and Turkish coffee!

The Crosby Bar & Terrace, Soho - Five star service and decor thanks to Kit Kemp of Firmdale Hotels.  The Crosby Street Hotel surrounds the incredible Bar and Terrace destination.  Traditional English breakfast at it's finest.  The blueberry pancakes are delightful.  Amazing outdoor garden for that second round of mimosas!

Babettes, East Hampton - The only restaurant you need to know out East for Brunch is Babettes.  The business savvy, passionate and soulful owner, Barbara, runs a tight ship for decades.  The menu changes with the seasons and utilizes only the freshest ingredients supporting the local farmers and growers.  Sunday brunch is a celebrity and VIP hot-spot.  But, on any given day of the week, you may catch a glimpse of Spielberg grabbing a smoothie or L.A. Reid dining with his family.  Yet, the celeb factor has nothing to do with the mass appeal of Babettes.  Barbara and team successfully continue to create some of the most healthy, organic yet flavorful dishes that taste sinfully incredible!  It's just really good, clean, organic soul food!  Order the BBQ Tofu, banana smoothie and the Jo Mama, you'll thank us.

Agave, West Village - This is a favorite brunch destination amongst city dwellers.  Go for the food, stay for the bottomless brunch cocktails.

Dockers Waterside Marina & Restaurant, East Quogue, Hamptons – Beautiful bay views accompany upscale surf ‘n’ turf eats at this Hamptons lounge.

Randolph Brookyln, Williamsburg- A laid back vibes, graffitied walls and vintage TVs make this brunch spot a must-try.

Hill and Dale, Lower East Side - Victorian decor and leather sofas add to the old-timey feel of this cozy, yet elegant gastropub.

Miss Lily's 7A Cafe, East Village - Take a trip to the beach in the city at this island-inspired hang.  Enjoy the delicious cocktails and Jamaican fare.
